Maxxis Buckshot Mudder Tires
The Maxxis Buckshot Mudder is a mud terrain, all season tire made for light trucks and SUVs.
The tire enhances the year round performance. The larger tread elements and the all season compound upgrade the dry, wet and winter weather grip on the road surface. The block placement firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. The groove placement avoids hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. The tire is pinned for studs, which can be added to the tread area, in order to further upgrade the winter weather traction.
The tire also ensures excellent off-road terrain performance. The aggressive tread design with the staggered block placement and high void ratio enhances the soft, uneven and loose terrain surface traction. These tread elements guarantee an optimized surface contact while the tires are in motion. As a result, the tire is able to optimize the forward motion through deep mud and on soft loose terrain surfaces, greatly enhancing the mud terrain performance.
The tread design also keeps the footprint clean at all times. The high void ratio and the open shoulder pattern enables the tire to eliminate mud, snow and rocks stuck between the tread elements. This prevents mud and snow from blocking the surface contact during the performance, ensuring a safer performing ability. The tread also allows the tire to prevent stone retention, as the grooves eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. This combination ensures a safer off-road performance.
The Maxxis Buckshot Mudder also utilizes the S-shaped tread blocks to enhance the tread’s center area. These tread elements allow the tire to boost the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. This promotes a quick and precise response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. This combination ensures the driver’s better control over the vehicle at all times.
The intended purpose of Mud Terrain tire types is off-road use. They are not designed for regular highway driving.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
