Maxxis Zilla MU02 Tires

The Maxxis Zilla MU02 is a mud terrain, all season tire manufactured for ATVs and UTVs. This model is specially designed for the vehicle’s rear axle.

The tire comes with a particularly high void ratio and an optimized tread depth for versatile terrain use. The claw-shaped lugs are hollowed and divided into two to increase the number of biting edges. This way, the tire can get a strong grip of the terrain surface. The lugs are extended to the sidewalls, making sure the tire has a strong grip even during cornering. It enables the driver to maneuver the vehicle through ruts without side-slipping. The tire excels in loose dirt and deep mud terrain conditions as well.

The claw-shaped lugs are slightly curved to eliminate mud, dirt, and snow from the footprint. This is how the tread elements maintain contact with the road surface. The high void ratio plays a huge role in enhancing the tire’s self cleaning ability. The obstructing elements can simply leave through the open shoulders. By eliminating rocks, they can’t get stuck between the tread elements anymore. This way, stone retention is prevented and they won’t be able to drill into the tread or casing, causing damage.

The Maxxis Zilla MU02 is engineered to maintain surface contact by utilizing its tread depth throughout the drive. It boasts aggressive tread elements that firmly grip the surface in loose, uneven, and soft terrain conditions. Meanwhile, the high void ratio ensures that the tread closely follows the terrain. This enhances the tire’s overall road stability and ensures that the driver can count on fast and precise steering responses.

This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.

When it comes to ATV tires, there might be slight visual differences between brands and models even if the tires are of the same size.

NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE: This tire model is not DOT-approved for highway use.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
