Yokohama AVID S33D Tires
The Yokohama AVID S33D is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger cars.
The tread is designed with careful attention to detail in order to maximize the tire’s ability to perform all year. The tire also boasts a highly adaptive rubber compound that maintains its flexibility throughout changing weather conditions. This guarantees outstanding traction on wet, dry, and snow-covered roads. The tread is also densely populated with biting edges, due to the angled and lateral grooves and sipes. These ensure a firm grip with the asphalt surface. The grooves also deal with hydroplaning by dispersing water, slush, and snow from the footprint.
The manufacturer has designed an excellent touring model mainly focusing on driving safety and comfort. This tire does it both due to its versatile rubber blend and carefully designed tread. It comes with a flat footprint that evenly distributes load and driving pressure across the tread elements. The optimized footprint minimizes road noise and vibrations, by channeling airwaves through the footprint. This prevents road disturbances from generating noise throughout the performance. The tread absorbs the shock of driving, which results in a comfortable driving experience.
The Yokohama AVID S33D promotes seamless controllability with its wide and detailed footprint. With the adaptive rubber compound and the evenly distributed tread elements, the tire has a good balance on the road. This enhances its driving stability and ensures better controllability. It boosts the driver’s control over the vehicle by offering fast and precise steering. The tire’s structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it, while keeping the road grip constant. The shoulder blocks come with extra biting edges that improve the tire’s cornering ability.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select Toyota vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
