Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico PNCS Tires
The Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico PNCS is a performance and high performance, all season tire made to be mounted on passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire promotes great all weather traction with the special flexible tire compound and the asymmetric tread design. The compound maintains its road gripping ability, while the tread’s Z-shaped blocks enhance the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the tire’s footprint, ensuring a safer year round performance.
The model promotes great high speed performance. The shoulder and center tread design boost the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering is quicker and more accurate in its responsiveness to the driver’s commands, while the tire’s structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire during the drive. The stiff shoulder tread blocks and the wide center rib manage to increase the cornering ability and power with additional biting edges in all weather. The special Z-shaped tread blocks shorten the braking distance by creating friction at the moment of braking. The result is a safer high speed driving experience.
The Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico PNCS was manufactured with Pirelli’s Noise Cancelling System (PNCS). This technology places a sound-absorbent foam on the tire’s inner lining that negates the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. This filters the soundwaves through the foam and prevents them from reaching the vehicle’s cabin. In this manner, the driving experience becomes quiet and more comfortable.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select Volvo vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
