Kumho KRT03 Tires

The Kumho KRT03 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model is designed to be mounted on trailer axles.

The optimal tread pattern and its close road contact improve overall controllability. In other words, this increases steering responsiveness and towing stability. The steering response time is faster and more precise to the towing vehicle’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. At the same time, the stronger internal structure keeps the optimal tire shape under load and driving pressure. This construction does not allow the tire to deform under pressure, enabling it to carry and withstand heavy loads. As the tire can easily handle large loads it makes this model an excellent choice for commercial vehicles.

The all season compound and ribbed tread design boost year-round performance. They work together to enhance dry, wet, and winter road grip. In this manner, the optimal tread pattern keeps close surface contact in all weather conditions, while the compound maintains flexibility in different temperatures. At the same time, hydroplaning resistance is also upgraded. Large circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint in wet situations, optimizing the tire’s overall surface contact.

The model guarantees a fuel-efficient performance. The optimal tread design and the strong rubber compound ease the driving pressure off the footprint, which offers better fuel economy. The ribbed tread design reduces the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance regulates the vehicle’s energy intake needed to keep the tire in motion. This lowers fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels, which leads to an environmentally friendly driving experience.

The Kumho KRT03 offers a longer-lasting tread life. The ribbed tread design is able to evenly distribute driving pressure along the tread area. On the other hand, the rubber compound slows the treadwear rate down. As a result, they prevent irregular and premature wear formations along the tread area, which guarantees excellent usability for longer periods of time.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
