Kelly Winter Access Tires

The Kelly Winter Access is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire upgrades the winter weather performance. The directional tread design and the durable winter compound improve the winter weather traction significantly. The high-density siping placement increases the grip with additional biting edges, while the tread optimizes the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures. The tire is pinned for studs, which can be added to the tread in order to increase its ice and snow gripping power. The tread’s circumferential and angled lateral grooves actively channel water and slush from the footprint, avoiding hydroplaning and further boosting the wet weather traction.

The ideal tread pattern’s surface contact improves the controllability. The tread design’s continuous center rib maintains the road contact throughout the drive. This enables the tire to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. The directional pattern’s high-density siping placement enhances the braking power. These elements generate friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking, significantly shortening the overall braking distance. This combination greatly boosts the driver’s control over the vehicle during its winter weather performance.

The Kelly Winter Access also enhances the comfort levels. The directional tread’s continuous center rib enables the tire to closely follow the road surface during the drive. This enables the tire to absorb the shock of driving, minimizing the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin while the tires are in motion. In this manner, road disturbances do not ruin the passengers’ driving enjoyment, resulting in a comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
