Forerunner QH505 Tires

The Forerunner QH505 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for trailers. This model should not be mounted on light trucks.

The tire greatly improves the year round traction. The symmetric tread pattern and the all season compound allow the tire to increase the dry, wet and winter weather grip on the road surface. The tread elements utilize the siping detail along the tread area, increasing the number of biting edges gripping the road surface. The stronger compound elements improve the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. The ideal groove pattern eliminates water and slush from the footprint, maintaining the surface contact and upgrading the hydroplaning resistance.

The better controllability enables the tire to enhance the length of the tread life. The symmetric tread design maintains the surface contact while the tires are in motion. This allows the tire to equally circulate the driving forces across the tread area. This combats irregular and premature wear formations across the tread area, greatly improving the overall service life and usability.

The QH505 enhances the handling as well. The solid center rib maintains the surface contact at all times. In this manner, the model is able to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. This allows the tire to increase the steering response time and accuracy to the towing vehicle’s instructions, while it secures the structure’s stability during the performance. This ensures the towing vehicle’s constant command over the trailer, offering a safer towing experience.

This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire’s internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire’s non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire’s ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.

The photo is a representation of the tire’s possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
