The Continental SportContact 6 SSR (OE) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.
Great summer traction is promoted with this tire. The asymmetric tread pattern and its close contact with the driving surface enhance the tire’s grip on dry and wet surfaces. The ideal tread design closely follows the road surface at all times, while the summer compound prevents heat build-up in hot temperatures. On the other hand, the optimized grooves effectively eliminate water from the footprint in wet-weather conditions. They resist hydroplaning and enable the tire’s safe performance even on wet surfaces.
The model upgrades its controllability. The asymmetric tread pattern closely follows the road and improves the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. At the same time, the optimized tread elements firmly grip the road with extra biting edges. It increases the tire’s contact with the driving surface and upgrades the tire’s steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s instructions. The structure is secured against driving pressure. In this manner, the strengthened internal structure keeps the ideal tire shape under driving pressure, while the silica compound prevents pressure accumulation along the tread area in warmer temperatures.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
