Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT Tires
The Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT (*) is a high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles. This specific tire is marked with (*) as it is the original equipment of BMW vehicles.
The tire guarantees great dry and wet weather traction. It combines the summer compound and the slanted-slug tread block sipe pattern of the tread, in order to upgrade the summer grip. Durable compound’s heat-resistant rubber materials prevent heat build-up, while the tread elements firmly grip the road surface at all times. The tire features three circumferential grooves which disperse water from the footprint, resulting in a secure hydroplaning resistance.
This model is a run flat tire model. It features a reinforced internal structure, which enables the tire to be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph after air pressure loss. As a result, the tire promotes a safer limited, temporary performance, preventing the vehicle from being stranded on the side of the road. These tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle with regular tires, due to their heavier internal structure.
