Blackhawk BDR28 Tires
The Blackhawk BDR28 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model can be installed on the drive axle of the vehicle.
The tire’s tread pattern consists of irregular shaped blocks with the same sipe pattern on each of them. The tread blocks are arranged in a zigzag pattern. Since there are so many of these blocks on the four-rib tread, they provide a huge number of biting edges. With the help of these edges, the tire can establish traction easily on dry, snow-covered, wet or muddy roads.
The lateral and circumferential grooves deal with the water and mud that block the surface contact. The open shoulder design allows the grooves to channel the water and other substances sideways from the tire’s tread. This way, the tread blocks can get a firm grip of the road without anything blocking their way. The zigzag groove walls eject rocks that would otherwise get stuck in-between and prevent stone drilling or stone retention.
The Blackhawk BDR28 guarantees an extended tread life with its deep tread. The four ribs are elevated to the same level, forming a completely flat footprint. This results in even distribution when it comes to driving pressure and heat accumulation. With even pressure distribution, irregular wear is not going to develop and overall tread wear is going to become much slower. Braking, acceleration and cornering are not going to result in any tread damage either.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
