Continental ProContact RX SSR Tires
The Continental ProContact RX SSR (OE) is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles.
The tire was manufactured with Continental’s Self-Supporting Run-flat technology. This allows the tire to securely perform for 50 miles up to 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. The stronger construction enables the tire to maintain its ideal tire shape under the weight of the vehicle and its passengers. In this manner, the tire can be driven to a nearby location in case of air pressure loss, where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Run flat tires should not be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle due to their heavier internal structure.
The all season silica compound and the ideal tread pattern upgrade the all weather traction. The compound elements and the optimal tread design increase the dry, wet and winter traction, guaranteeing a safer performing capability. The tread’s elements upgrade the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the compound optimizes its rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. The tread’s circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint, further enhancing the driving safety levels all year round.
The special silica-based tire compound and the optimized tread design increase the traction and keep the tire cool during its performance.
